When I created this blog six months ago, I turned off the options to allow search engines to find it. I wasn't thinking too far ahead, I just wanted to start a little blog. And I was leery of being too public, so I consciously kept my name out of the site.
My anonymity was protected so well that friends of mine, upon clicking the link in my e-mail signature, weren't sure that the blogger behind Dove's Eye View is me, Leila Abu-Saba. Since my URL name - bedouina.typepad.com - is hard to remember (and spell - I mess it up all the time), this makes it impossible for people to find Dove's Eye View unless they have the link sent to them. My mother, for one, asked if she could find Dove's Eye View in Google. Until now, the blog would not have come up under my name. Changing the URL to my name would be more trouble than I can manage.
Here's hoping that this post will help Google (and my mother) find me.
Happy summer to everybody.
As one of your loyal readers (despite occasional disagreements), congratulations on your semianniversary.

Thanks, Jonathan, I'm flattered that you read this blog.
Vanity Googling reveals that this post worked. Dove's Eye View comes up now when you search on my name. Hi Mom!
