It's true that I don't have to cook for picky eaters and that I don't eat much pasta, but I can't see making a fuss either. How about eating rice noodles or buckwheat noodles for a change? I loved having a vegetable garden as a kid. The whole transformation of seeds into plants and then into food seemed like magic then, and still does now. Nonetheless, the idea that we are about to enter a period of food insecurity strikes me as silly. Various items have always fluctuated in price. Now if strawberries went way up, I'd be more upset!
