Leila,
I have followed your blog for a while now. I have tried to understand your ideas, and I have tried to develop a knowledgeable and well-reasoned opinion of my own concerning the very horrific topic(s) you write about. I have gathered ideas far and wide, including yours. I would like to respond to your position(s). I agree wholeheartedly with one of your recent posts. In it you wrote that your stance may be because you "speak Arabic and people in Gaza look like [your] relatives.” It seems that you are not really a dove and not really interested in discourse. Rather, you appear to be a lover of all things close and dear to you; you are a tribalist. Your passion is obvious, but your ethnocentrism is obvious also.

Molly, I think you are unfair to Leila. Why isn't she a dove? Has she endorsed a military solution somewhere that you can point out? Also, I know that Leila is listening and thinking, and the purpose of her blog is gather information and be part of a dialog rather than to rant (well, usually!). I disagree with Leila about many issues as my previous comments show, but I continue to read her blog because it's informative and aims at reason. Sometimes Leila changes her mind or admits she was wrong. There's not enough of that in the blogosphere!
